Last Saturday, I sold a 2011 Mercedes-Benz E350 4MATIC to a nice couple. We got along well despite the flat tire in a construction zone just before we were going to get on the highway! And the great thing was that they bought the car anyway! After replacing the flat tire, I delivered the car to them and was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable the car was. The seats were comfortable and the car drove very nicely.
The loaner car I drove back was a 2013 Volvo S60 T5 AWD. As you may recall the S60 has City Safety Auto Braking. It’s designed to automatically activate the brakes if you are about to run into another vehicle. I mention that because it activated as I attempted to park the car under the leafy branches of a tree at the back of our lot! I certainly wasn’t expecting that but it did make me reach for the brake pedal … just as it’s supposed to.
On the way back, I had a hankering for some candy orange slices and ended up stopping at a 7-Eleven gas station. Feeling a bit parched as well, I looked over the pop in the coolers. Look who’s face showed up on some of the cans. Not sure what I think of that. Does a picture of a 7 foot former NBA star make you want to purchase Blueberry Cream Soda? I guess the curiosity factor hooked me more than anything else. By the way, don’t waste your money. It doesn’t taste very good.
