Yes, I have finally admitted it. I don’t like Audi cars. Now there was that A8 we had for a while which was fun to drive. But in general, I don’t like Audi cars or SUVs.

The first thing I don’t like about them is their shape. I don’t find the Audi design language very attractive. Coming from someone who likes odd vehicles, that may seem a bit strange. But the design of Audi vehicles has never done anything for me. Bland styling. Rounded front ends. The 0000 logo. Not interested.

The second thing I don’t like about them is the red instrumentation. I despised red lighting on Pontiacs, too. I would think that kind of lighting would create a tense atmosphere. Who wants to be on edge while driving for any extended period of time? Red means stop. Red means warning. Red means you’re low on fuel. Something is wrong. So, why use bright red lighting for all your instrumentation? It doesn’t work for me.

I don’t like Audi’s bling. Maybe I’ve become a sedated 40-something, but I just don’t care for all the extra lights and pieces of chrome. Even the Jaguar I drive is understated compared to most Audis. Instead of drawing me in with the bling, it turns me away.
There you have it — my rant for the day. However… if you like rounded front ends, red lighting, and plenty of bling, ignore everything I just said and buy this car from me.
I’ve never looked at an Audi from that perspective. I’ll have to see what I think now that I’ve read yours.
