On the way in to work this morning, News Talk AM radio station WJR of Detroit aired an interview with Spyker Cars CEO, Victor Muller. I was very interested to hear what he would have to say as Spyker Cars once owned SAAB, one of my favorite car brands. The interview wasn’t very long but I found one of his statements very interesting. As Muller spoke about the new Spyker Venator, he called it an “entry-level” Spyker. I don’t know about you, but when I hear “entry-level” I think of an easily attainable piece of merchandise. The Venator will be sold for approximately $150,000. Hmm… I guess every statement has a context. Representatives of the Cleveland Spyker dealership at the 2013 Cleveland Auto Show told me Spyker models usually sell for approximately $225,000. Quite the deal, eh?
Volvo will be including a new active high beam feature in future models. The system leaves high beams on at all times unless it senses other traffic. The idea is to have the most light possible at all times without offending other drivers. Read this article and see what you think of the idea.
