Volvo is now recognizing the accomplishments of more than just Irv Gordon. It should be granted that Irv deserves more recognition than the Volvo owner who hits 100,000 miles. But, with this new program, even my 2005 XC90 with 148k miles is recognized. I like that. And I can see how this will contribute to brand loyalty. Many of our customers at Leikin keep their cars to well over 200k. Why not? When you get the right car, you don’t mind driving it longer than normal.
Volvo announced a new club that is stemming off of their current High Mileage Club that will launch November 1, 2012, called the Volvo Heritage Club. Volvo started this new club, as they wanted the opportunity to acknowledge their passionate owners who may have owned many different Volvos over time, but may lack high mileage.
Joining this club is easy; you just need to sign up online and if you’re accepted, you will receive the appropriate medallion(s). Medallions are awarded to owners with either 10, 15, 20 or 25 years of ownership, regardless of the amount of miles on the car. Medallions are also given away to owners who have reached the following mileage milestones: 100,000, 200,000, 300,000, 400,000, 500,000, 750,000 or 1,000,000 miles.
As a Heritage Club member, owners will also receive invitations to Volvo events, access to promotions and exclusive offers. When long standing loyalty is combined with high-mileage achievements, VCNA President John Maloney truly believes that’s a club that is representative of the heritage of a car brand.
Leikin Volvo is a proud supporter of the Volvo Heritage club and encourages all loyal Volvo owners who may have reached any of these milestones to become a club member.
