When the pictures first came out I wasn’t impressed. The new S60 just didn’t excite me. But that’s the way it is when a model is changed only every 10 years, right? Take the Classic SAAB 900 for an example. After about 15 years, it was hard to accept a new shape (and still is to some). So, as the change is made from the old style S60 (which still looks good to me) to the new one, I find myself wondering about the design. It just doesn’t grab my attention—especially from the front corner pic.
What do you think? The new SAAB 9-3 didn’t garner my applause either. But that one is starting to grow on me. Maybe this one will, too. In any event, these pictures indicate (at least to me) that the S40 and S60 ought to be combined. I don’t know if that is Volvo’s plan, but it sure would make sense.
