On our way home from the Great Geauga County Fair, we spotted a two-tone VW Beetle. As we circled around the square to take pictures, the occupants were exiting the car. So at the traffic light, I sent Jefferson scrambling across the square to get permission to take a few pics. When we got there, the owner was more than happy to talk about his car. Skip and his wife Jody gave us the grand tour of their Beetle.
Apparently, the engine was taken from a Transport and rebuilt six years ago. Skip recently installed the rebuild into this car and it fired right up. His goal is to restore Beetles for customers. He also wants to re-market the old Rolls Royce front ends for VW Beetles if possible. Remember those? In any event, if you are interested in connecting with Skip, feel free to contact me for his contact info: me AT andyrupert DOT com.
Jefferson did a pretty good job at picture taking, too!
