The handle of my 3/8″ ratchet wasn’t long enough to brake loose the bolt holding the bumper to my parts car. And to make matters worse, there were no metal pipes in the garage to slip over the handle for more leverage. So what do you do when you don’t have what you need? Buy a bigger ratchet? No. Borrow a pipe from a neighbor? Nope. I ended up using an old bike frame’s handle bars to do the job. Slipping the end of the handle bars over the ratchet handle worked perfectly for both bolts and the bumper was off soon after. Call me a redneck if you will … but I’d rather call it resourceful.
