I like listening to iHeart radio in the Jag while driving to and from work. But road noise overcomes the tiny speaker on my Windows Phone at highway speeds. So, for the trip back from Columbus Christmas day, I purchased an external speaker at a truck stop. Unfortunately, the speaker still wasn’t quite loud enough for me to hear the words clearly. Hmm… what to do?
As I was driving up I-271, I remembered a recent conversation with my brother about using a bowl to amplify your smart phone speaker. Not having a bowl handy, I turned to the next best thing from my tub of useful items in the trunk — a funnel. I was amazed at how loud the funnel made the sound. I actually had to turn down the volume.
So, what’s your verdict? Redneck or resourceful?
