This is one of those questions that I will probably never invest in. But on occasion, I do see a car or truck with flames painted on the fenders or hood and it makes me wonder. If I had the disposable income to dress up my car, would flames make it look better?
This owner put flames on his 1983 Porsche 944 and it looks pretty good. However…will it help or hinder the sale of his car on Craigslist? I’m thinking that adding flames to a car narrows the amount of people who might be interested. At Leikin Motor Companies, we had a Mitsubishi sedan with flames painted on the hood and fenders and it took quite a while to sell. We eventually found just the right person to buy it, but it took a while.
So, here’s the question. Would you paint flames on your car? Why or why not?
That 944 would never sell to any of our clients!
Kris, what is the name of your garage?
