I’ve been driving interesting cars for the last ten years. Those years have included head turners like the SAAB 900 Turbo, Jaguar XJ-S and XJ6. But now it’s time to return to my roots. Growing up, I was interested in domestic iron like the Camaro, Mustang, and Corvette. But muscle cars aren’t really my thing. I wanted something different — a car that stood out from everyone else. And today that dream has finally come true. With a portion of the proceeds from selling the wagon, I purchased Mystery Car 83. And the seller will be delivering it to the dealership on Monday.
What is this Mystery Car? Well … I wouldn’t want to give it away just yet. But I am willing to give you a few clues.
- It’s a domestic coupe.
- It has a six cylinder aluminum block engine.
- It’s not a turbo.
- It’s older than I am.
Despite the fact that my dad will want to spank me after reading this post, I am excited about this purchase. I’ve actually driven two of these when I was younger, but until now have never owned one. Now don’t get too excited. It’s nothing exotic but it will definitely fit into the “interesting” category. And you know what? I like that.
