Moving headlights are nothing new. Citroen and Tucker both utilized headlights which moved with the steering wheel. Volvo has had several editions of the Active BiXenon headlights which move as well. However, Mercedes-Benz has taken these a step further by using the multiple LED lights with varying intensity. Here’s what the MBUSA website says regarding the headlights on the CLS-Class.
The world’s first full-LED active headlamps, part of the Premium 1 Package, generate light that´s closer to natural daylight than any lighting technology in production. Active Curve Illumination and Adaptive Highbeam Assist continuously vary the beam pattern of the LED headlamps to help maximize illumination of both corners and straightaways.

While watching the video, I was reminded of something Brian Cooper of Dodd camera told me about lighting. He recommends 5500K bulbs for indoor photography of cars. That’s the same spec that the CLS lights produce at night. I’m eager to try it out some time soon.
