After picking up a cappuccino at Speedway this morning, I drove over to Classic SAAB to look at the new cars. The dealership has a nice location near the highway and quite a few other dealerships. As I pulled into the parking lot, I was impressed with the building and grounds. Inside it’s even better with a vaulted ceiling, huge chandelier, and comfortable leather chairs scattered across the showroom. But there was one problem. There were no SAABs in the showroom! The entire room was filled with Cadillacs! What’s the deal?
The solitary salesman greeted me and I hammered him with questions about the dealership and the future of SAAB. Apparently, Classic SAAB decided to sell their parts inventory and cars to SAAB of North Olmstead and get out while the getting was good (or something like that). Until December 15th, Classic will continue to provide warranty work. But after that you’ll have to visit one of the other dealerships in Bedford or North Olmstead. However, if you just need someone to work on your SAAB, let me know. One of the mechanics at Leikin Motor Companies came from Swedish Solutions and has years of experience working on SAABs.
