Mercedes-Benz just posted a link to The Diesel Driver’s review of the 2014 Mercedes-Benz E250 BlueTEC on the Leikin Motor Companies Facebook page. With the new fuel economy standards, this should prove to be a popular car — especially as it is supposed to get 45 mpg on the highway. That’s pretty good for a car weighing in at 4409 pounds. According to the article, the E250 will have a 2.1L four-cylinder engine that puts out 195 hp and 369 lb/ft of torque. While I have never owned a diesel vehicle, those numbers make the new E250 sound like a nice but economical car. Read the article and see what you think.

I want to see a comparison between the Ford E250 diesel van (truck) and the Mercedes E250 diesel car. Just for grins.
Ah yes! We’ll know Mercedes has crossed the line if it calls their car the Econoline.
