A few weeks ago, one of our Volvo mechanics handed me the patch and said, “I know you’re a SAAB nut and found this while I was cleaning out some things. I thought you’d like it.” I do like it especially as it describes my abilities: associate-assistant-step-aside-pay-somebody-else-to-finish-the-job-before-you-ruin-it-technician.”
Yep, that’s me.

Senator Reid goes to a local GM dealer in Washington DC with the intention of buying a new vehicle. The senator looks around and finds one that he likes. After going back and forth with the salesman, he settles on a reasonable price. Senator Reid and the salesman go back to the office to complete the paperwork. They finally work out a 4-year payment plan, and he signs on the bottom line. The salesman shakes the senator’s hand and says, “Thanks Senator Reid, the car will be ready for pickup in 4 years.” Senator Reid frowns and replies, “What are you talking about? Where are the keys to my new car?” The salesman calmly replies, “No, you don’t understand Senator. You make payments for 4 years THEN we give you the car.” The senator turns bright red, and yells, “That’s not fair!” The salesman replies without any doubt or embarrassment, “What’s the problem, Senator Reid? It’s no different than your healthcare plan.”

This morning, as I was sending directions to a possible customer, I noticed how centrally located Leikin Motor Companies is. Thanks to the interstate system, we’ve had customers from Canada, Michigan, Pennsylvania, New York, and southern Ohio. That’s a definite plus when it comes to reaching a wide variety of customers.

Just don’t tell anyone about the constantly changing weather.

If you have ever been to Leikin Motor Companies, this man needs no introduction. He has probably washed, vacuumed, or detailed your vehicle. Horace Lawrence is one of the wash rack guys at Leikin Motor Companies. He is known for his hard work and attention to detail. So, you can understand why so many of our customers value the free car washes available to every service and sales customer. The results are that good.
